William Curtis Griffeth, professionally known as Bill Griffeth, celebrates his birthday on the 7th of August and was born in Los Angeles, California in the United States of America and raised by Charles and Frances Griffeth.
For his early education, he was sent for schooling at one of the local schools at Los Angeles. He was exceptionally brilliant in academics. After he figured his passion for journalism, he pursued higher education by attending the California State University at Northridge (CSUN) and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
Bill Griffeth currently resides with his family, including his loving wife and children, at Park Ridge, New Jersey and has been living there since 1992.

Griffeth was a visionary man since an early stage of life and planned on achieving great things by following his passion. While he was studying in college, he was already working on KCSN as the co-host of the interview show Straightalk alongside Rick Holicker.
In 1981, Griffeth was originally one on the founding team that had begun the Financial News Network (FNN). He worked at the network for a decade and was chosen as a nominee for the CableACE award for his contribution as the anchor on FNN’s coverage team of the stock market crash during 1987.
After recognizing Griffeth’s potential to become a successful media personality, and acknowledging his impressive works as a journalist, he was offered a job by CNBC. After being hired by one of the biggest news networks in the world in 1991, he began working for the station as an anchor and reporter.
Right after he joined CNBC, NBC merged with it after successfully purchasing FNN. During the years that Griffeth has worked for CNBC, he has worked on many shows including Power Lunch, where he was assigned as the anchor alongside with his co-anchor Sue Herera. For his praiseworthy works, he was nominated for CableACE award for six times. After taking a whole year’s leave from CNBC, in 2010, he returned back to the network in the January of 2011 and began working as the co-anchor on the show Closing Bell.
He was awarded with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by CSUN in 2000.
