Personal Life
Flanagan was born on the 22nd of September in Sonoita, Arizona, United States of America in 1972. For her education, she attended the Salpointe Catholic High School at Tuscon, Arizona and later went on to study at the University of Arizona.
The lucky person to tied the marital knot with the beautiful Alex Flanagan is none other than Kevin Flanagan, former University of Arizona basketball player. The happy couple has been blessed with three beautiful children – two daughters and a son. Flanagan’s family is in possession of the popular Arizona steak restaurants “The Steak Out” and “Dove Mountain.”
Professional Life
Flanagan took her first steps in the world of journalism from KVOA-TV, where she was working as an intern, while she was still in college. Immediately after graduating college, Flanagan took up a job at KCCO-TV in Alexandria, Minnesota as the station’s general assignment news reporter and weekend anchor. Later, she moved on to work at WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama at the same position.
She was hired by Fox Sports Network and began working on The Keith Olbermann Evening News as the featured reporter. She has also worked at the National Sports Report as a reporter and at Goin’ Deep, an Emmy-nominated weekly sports magazine show, as a producer.
After observing Flanagan’s impressive works, she was hired by ESPN to work as the network’s college football sideline reporter. She has also been assigned to work as the sideline reporter for the College World Series. Later at SportsCenter, Flanagan worked as a reporter mainly focusing on Lakers, Dodgers, Angels, UCLA, USC and the Chargers. During her time at ESPN, she contributed in launching Hollywood Highlights, an entertainments segment on SportsCenter, and was given the role of co-hosting Home Depot College Football Awards.
In 2006, Flanagan joined NFL Network to work as a host and reporter and has had the opportunity to report on five Super Bowls. She has also hosted the popular show NFL Total Access. She started providing sideline reports in 2010 after joining play-by-play announcer Bob Papa, analyst Matt Millen and Joe Theismann on NFL Network’s show Thursday Night Football’s broadcasting team.
She has been serving as the sideline reporter on behalf of NBC for the Notre Dame home football games since 2007 and was later joined by John Madden, Al Michaels and Andrea Kremer.
