Trevor Noah was born on 20 February 1984 to Patricia Nombuyiselo and Robert in Johannesburg. It was illegal for his parents to get married when he was born. His mother was black of Xhosa ethnicity and his father is a white of Swiss German ethnicity. His parent’s marriage was legalized under the amended immorality Act of 1985. His mother was fined and jailed while his father moved back to Switzerland. He was raised by his mother and maternal grandmother. Tervor has been in a relationship with Jordyn Taylor since 2015. She is an American pop singer-songwriter and model. They have constantly been seen together.
Career
Trever Noah started his career at the age of 18 with a south African soap opera Isidingo. He then stated hosting radio programs. Later he kept acting and hosting both aside to focus on comedy. He hosted an educational program, Run the Adventure on SABC 2 from 2004-2006. He has also hosted The Real Goboza on SABC 1 and Siyadlala on SABC. He participated in Strictly Come Dancing. He became the spokesperson and consumer protection agent for Cell C, one of the largest cellular providers in South Africa. He is the first South African stand-up comedian to be on The Tonight Show.
