In the early days of her career, she used to work as a substitute teacher at Richmond Community School. She also indulged herself as a regional coordinator for Oregon Department Training and Information Center, Policy analyst for Oregon Department of Human Service, and as regional coordinator for the Coalition in Oregon for Parent Education.
