Naga Munchetty

Naga Munchetty who is also known by her married name Naga Haggar is a British Journalist, presenter, and a newsreader. She currently presents BBC One’s BBC World News, BBC Breakfast and Victoria Derbyshire with Naga Munchetty regularly from when Naga presented the BBC Two’s weekday financial affairs program known as Working Lunch. She is the native of Streatham, London, England.

She came into this world on 25th February of the year 1975 which has now made her reach at the age of 40. Although she is known by the name Naga Munchetty, as a child, she was named as Subham Nagalakshmi Munchetty Chendriam. She was born to Indian parents. She was a pupil of the Graveney School. She also got enrolled at the Leeds University from where she studied Literature and Language.

Naga's first job was on the City Pages of London known as Evening Standard as a journalist. She had also worked on a Business section of The Observer. Later, she began her TV career as a reporter for the Reuters Financial TV after which she began working as a senior producer for CNBC Europe, as a business producer and a reporter for the Channel 4 News and as a presenter on Bloomberg TV.

After that, she joined the Working Lunch after that show was revamped in October of 2008 and she stayed with program till it finished in July of 2010.

In addition to that, Naga has also hosted Radio 4’s Money Box. She also reports from City for BBC News gauging reaction to breaking financial stories like Budget, and Pre-Budget Report. Since August 2010, she has presented the early morning bulletins on BBC News Channel and the BBC World News.

She is also a regular presenter of BBC One’s Breakfast. Previous to that, she also hosted the Spending Review, The South Today debate on BBC One with Sally Taylor in 2010.

Naga is a married woman. She is married to her husband named James with whom she living her happy married life. At present, she is residing together with her husband. Prior to that, Naga has won the Celebrity Mastermind which was broadcast on the BBC TV on 2nd January of 2013.

There, she admitted to her passion for playing golf at least five times a week and she would like to take up a game as a professional. In October of 2012, playing under the married name, Naga won the Hertfordshire de Paula Cup at the Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club. 

Naga acquires salary around $ 45,000 in a month and her estimated net worth 12 million. 

Naga also has a passion for music and she can play jazz trumpet and classical piano.
