Maria LaRosa

LaRosa, who celebrates her birthday on the 7th of November, was born in New York, United States of America in 1976.  She spent her childhood in Ramsey, New Jersey.

She attended one of the Ivy League colleges, Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor in Science (B.S.) in Meteorology. While she was in college, LaRosa took up a job of a teaching assistant for the introductory course in meteorology at the University.

The lucky man to be LaRosa’s husband was none other than Mariusz Kolakowski and the happily wed couple has been blessed with their first child, a son, Michael in 2005. They had their second child, Justin and third child, Tyler in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

LaRosa is also a skilled piano player.

Maria LaRosa took the first steps into her professional career from WTVM-TV, where she worked as a meteorologist. She worked at the station for two years from 1998 to 2000. Moving forward, LaRosa joined WXIX-TV, where she worked for four years, until 2004 and later went on to work at KYW-TV as the station’s weekday morning and noon meteorologist.

By this point, LaRosa had already distinguished herself as a skilled meteorologist who could calmly present on television and was hired by one of the biggest weather news networks in the world – The Weather Channel in 2010.

She was assigned to works as the co-host of the weather show Weekend Now and PM Edition alongside Todd Santos. She has also handled the role of co-host on numerous other shows including First Outlook and Your Weather Today.

LaRosa kept on progressing and was soon hired to work as the host on popular shows like Morning Rush and Wake Up With Al. She also served at the show America’s Morning Headquarters for over a year from 2014 to 2015.

The impressive weather journalist is currently responsible for hosting the show Weekend Recharge with Paul Goodloe as her co-host.
