Lisa Bonet was born to be an actor as acting was in her blood. Since the very beginning, Bonet acted as child artist in television series and was also spotted in beauty pageants. As soon as the role of Denise Huxtable came knocking at her door, she immediately grabbed it. She was starred alongside Phylicia Rashad and Bill Cosby on an American television sitcom ‘The Cosby Show’.
In 1987, she joined the cast of an American sitcom A Different World and left ‘The Cosby Show’. But her best was yet to come in the role of Epiphany Proudfoot in Alan Parker’s ‘Angel Heart’. She was cast opposite a senior actor Mickey Rourke in the movie. But the movie did not hit the mark and had an average performance in the box office.
Following her pregnancy, Bonet stepped back from ‘A Different World Series’. Later that year she re-joined ‘The Cosby Show’ but due to some creative differences, she was fired in April 1991.
Bonet could not help herself staying far away from the screen so she started accepting the jobs on direct-to-video releases and made-for-television movies.
