Kathleen Kane is the native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States of America. She came into this world on 14th June of the year 1966 which has now made her reach the age of 50.
Although she is known by the name Kathleen Kane, her birth name is Kathleen Margaret Granahan. She was grown up on west side of Scranton, Pennsylvania. There, she went to get her education from the West Scranton High School.
After that, she got enrolled at University of Scranton from where she received Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies in 1988. In addition to that, she also earned a Law Degree in 1993 from the Temple University Law School.

Previously in her career, Kathleen was an attorney at the Post & Schell P.C. which is a Philadelphia law firm. She has also handled civil cases. From 1995 till 2007, she had served as assistant district attorney for the Lachawanna County, Pennsylvania where she prosecuted hundreds of the sex abuse, elder abuse, assault, murder, rape, fraud cases as well as public corruption.
She worked for private law firm in 2007 and also took the position with Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign. Kane announced about her candidacy for the Pennsylvania Attorney General in 2012 election. She also received endorsements from the US President Bill Clinton and Philadelphia Inquirer during Democratic primary.
She then defeated Murphy 53% to 47%. In general election, she won by 14.5% over Cumberland County district attorney David Freed. Besides that, she was mentioned as potential Democratic candidate for 2016 US Senate Election against the Republican incumbent Pat Toomey.
