Kate Garraway

Kate Garraway was born on 4th May 1976 in Abingdon-on-Thames, Berkshire, England. She was from a middle class family where her mother was a teacher and father was a civil servant.

She went to Dunmore Primary School and later switched to Fitzharrys School. She completed her bachelors from Bath College of Higher Education in English and History.

Kate has been married twice- Ian Rumsey, former boss at ITV Meridian, in 1998.Because of their personal reasons they got separated in 2002.

In September 2005, she married Derek Draper in London. They are blessed with two children; Dracey Mary Draper and Willian Garraway Draper.

She started her career as the newscaster on the channel ITV Central and ITV News Central. Then she was appointed as the journalist where she was engaged in reporting and producing news.

She is author of book -The Joy of Big Knickers: Or Learning to Love the Rest of Your Life. This book was published in 2017.
