Personal Life
Joanna Gosling celebrates her birthday on the 5th of January and was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England in 1971. She grew up with her family and raised among her three siblings. For her early education, Gosling was sent to the Aylesbury High School where she discovered her passion for languages.
So she went on to pursue a degree in French by attending the University of Birmingham. Initially, Gosling had been interested in becoming a war correspondent but shifted her focus towards a career in broadcast journalism after attending the University of Grenoble in France.
Gosling tied the marital knot with Craig Oliver who formerly worked as the Director of Communications for 10 Downing Street. The couple has been blessed with three children but sadly their marriage lasted only until 2014.
She currently resides in a house in West London and is very fond of cooking, watching movies, practicing yoga and running.
Professional Life
Gosling took the first steps into her professional life working as a trainee reporter at BBC WM, Fox FM in Oxfordshire and BBC Radio Scotland moving from one station to the other until she was finally able to secure a full time job at Independent Radio News.
She has also been hired as a freelancing reporter at Central Television, later moving on to work for Sky News. Gosling joined BBC in the August of 1999 and began working at BBC News 24 as a news presenter for the overnight slot. She was present on BBC’s coverage team during the September 11 attacks and later made occasional appearances on BBC Breakfast as a presenter.
She then started working for BBC News Channel in 2007 partnering with Ben Brown and worked on the show for around 6 years until 2013. She has also been assigned to present the Bank Holiday evening and late bulletins of BBC Weekend News on BBC One.
Gosling made a brief appearance in the 2015 movie Supervolcano where she played the part of a journalist presenting breaking news regarding the eruption of a volcano.
Gosling has also written a book “Simply Wonderwoman: A survival guide for women with too much to do” which was released on the October of 2011.

She is available on the site at @BBCJoannaG and has managed to gather 4.7 thousand followers. Gosling had joined the site back in November of 2014 and since then, she has tweeted around 800 times.
