Jennifer Allen

Allen came into this world as the one of four children and only daughter of George Allen and a mother who had a French and Tunisian background. She spent her childhood with her parents and three siblings – George, Bruce and Greg – who have all earned fame and recognition following their own paths.

George is the former Senator of the Republican United States and former governor of Virginia. Bruce is currently serving as the President of the Washington Redskins and had also worked as the general manager at Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Greg is currently a clinical psychologist.

Allen is a yoga instructor and has been practicing teaching the beautiful art in Los Angeles since 2003 and even writing articles about it.

Allen married Mark Richard and resides with her husband in Los Angeles. The couple has been blessed with three beautiful children – all sons.

Allen has successfully written two books until now. The first one, titled “Better Get Your Angel On” is a collection of short stories and the second one, titled “Fifth Quarter: The Scrimmage of a Football Coach’s Daughter” is a memoir where she explains what her childhood, as the daughter of a football coach, was like.

Her book has been given a great review by both Pat Conroy, who describes Allen’s second book as “the Best Book about football” he’s ever read, and The Washington Post’s Jonathan Yardley.

Allen, along with a successful career as an author, wanted to pursue a career in media as well. She has made appearances on NFL Network and has been writing for the network’s website.

She was invited on a show to discuss how the head football coach being fired from his job affects his family on NFL. She commented on the question stating her own experiences from the time when George Allen was fired.

Allen has also had the opportunity to narrate one of the episodes of A Football Life “Fearsome Foursome”.
