Personal Life
It was in San Juan that Guerrido received her primary and secondary education, and she has stated that since her mother was constantly mistreated by her father, Guerrido and her sister along with their mother lived together a domestic violence shelter called Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos in San Juan. She was only 7 years old then. After her high school was over, she moved with her family to New York City's Bronx section. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 24th September 1972, Jackie Guerrido is a Puerto Rican TV weather forecaster and a journalist.
Professional Life
Before she began a career in media, Guerrido did other jobs but we do not know what. A producer heard her doing a voice-over and she was offered a position on a morning show in WSKQ called El Vacilon de la Manana. Not soon later, she accepted an offer from WRMA in Miami. After she settled in Miami, she worked at Romance for 1 year and joined the HBC Radio Company. She was also given a chance to co-host a program to broadcast news and traffic updates. Finally, she had her own music show at WRTO, and also found an opportunity to work as a traffic reporter for WSCV, thereby working for radio and TV at the same time.
Currently, she does weather reports on Primer Impacto, an afternoon newsmagazine show on Univision. She was also a participant in Mira Quien Baila! - a dance based reality show akin to Dancing with the Starts, in Spanish and aired by Univision – and she won the 2nd prize by popular voting. She won a large sum of $10,000 which she donated to Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos, the same domestic violence shelter that provided shelter to her sister and mother in her childhood. A very generous gesture and a perfect example of giving something back to the society in the name of charity.

Her reporting skills were taken note of by Univision, and Guerrido was made an offer to work as a meteorologist for Al Amanacer de Noticias 23, a morning show broadcast on Univision's affiliate WLTV.
