Doreen Gentzler

Doreen was born on 24th September 1957 in Virginia, United States. She was born to Rita O'FLinn and Ferris Gentzler. Rita O'Flinn, her mother, worked as a secretary of federal government and her father, Ferris Gentzler, was an executive of an insurance company. Doreen holds American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.

She got enrolled in University of Georgia and graduated in the year 1979 with a degree in journalism and mass communication.

Gentzler got married to Bill Miller, a former reporter and editor at The Washington Post who specialized in law enforce met coverage. From 1979 to 1983 she worked as an anchor of ABC’s affiliate in Charlotte, WSOC-TV. Later, Gentzler worked for Philadelphia's WCAU-TV. In the year 1989, she joined NBC4 after the departure of anchor Dave Marash. Lately, she anchors the station’s weekday 6pm as well as 11pm editions of News4 at WRC-TV.

She is the on-air spokesperson for the station's successful NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo, held each January at the Washington Convention Center. She also made an appearance as herself on an episode of the NBC show The Event.
