Personal Life
Danyelle Sargent-Musselman was born on the 7th of May in 1978 in the Unites States of America. For higher studies, she attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.
Unfortunately, not much information is available on Sargent’s early life and family background since they haven’t been disclosed to any major publications yet.
Sargent tied the marital knot with Eric Musselman, who is the head coach of the Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team. The couple was blessed with their first child, a daughter, Mariah in 2010. Musselman already had 2 children from his previous marriage and Sargent is happily a mother of three now.
Professional Life
Sargent was enthusiastic about journalism from an early age and had begun her professional life, while she was still in college, by joining WGXA, stationed at Macon, Georgia. She also worked for Metro Sports, in Kansas City as a sports anchor and reporter for around 2 years (from 2002 to 2004).
While the pre-season games were going on in 2004, she was assigned to report from the sidelines for the Kansas City Chiefs and later co-hosted the 2005 and 2006 NCAA woman of the year awards.
Sargent kept on progressing and eventually went on to join ESPN, one of the biggest sports networks in the world, in 2004 and was also a contributor to ESPN First Take on ESPN2. On March 9th, 2006, ESPNEWS were facing technical difficulties which were interfering with the live broadcast.
During this crisis, Sargent was the co-anchor of the ongoing broadcast and had to air a recorded segment. Later in 2006, when her contract expired, ESPN refused to renew it probably because she had mistakenly cursed while recording the taped segment.
After not being able to continue her journey at ESPN, she went on to work at FOX Sports and started anchoring on FSN Final Score.
Sargent also played the role of fictional sportscaster Melissa Wells on the show Onion SportsDome on Comedy Central which was premiered in January 2011.
She has also worked at Yahoo! Sports as one of the network’s hosts from 2011 to 2012 and later got the opportunity to cover NFL, Fantasy Football, NASCAR, and college football.
Sargent moved on to take up a job at NFL Network as an update anchor and has done a brilliant job on numerous occasions, including some NFL moments. But she departed from NFL as well on the April of 2013.
