Catherine Ann Sadler was born on the 24th of August in 1974 in Martinsville, Indiana, United States. She has 5 siblings altogether; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
At the age of 11 she appeared in the movie Hoosiers. After graduating from Martinsville High, she attended Indiana University and graduated from college with a degree in journalism. At Indiana University, Sadler was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She married Kyle Boyd, her college lover, in 2001.
The couple, who is divorced in 2008, currently has two sons: Austin Boyd and Arion Boyd. Sadler met Brett Jacobson, whom she was later engaged to. One week later, they ended their engagement but still continued dating.
Afterwards, Sadler started dating British film producer Rhys David Thomas, who she married on 23rd October, 2011. Sadly, even this match-up didn’t last as Sadler filed for a divorce from Thomas in March 2016.
Professional Life
Before even graduating from college, Catt Sadler was already hired by a Fox affiliate, in Indianapolis, WXIN as a host for the weekly segment “Youth Matters”. To advance her career, she moved to California after a year of working in the local news.
Later she appeared a few of VH1 spoofs in Hollywood as an extra eventually leading to getting her first broadcasting job, in 1997, at KBWB/KNTV in San Jose, California in San Fransisco as an entertainment reporter.
She hosted a nightly lifestyle segment The Bay Beat for 4 years and had to travel very often to conduct celebrity interviews to Los Angeles and New York. She returned to WXIN as a co anchor to the station’s morning newscast after moving back to Indiana. Later, while serving at NBA’s Indiana Pacers as their official emcee, she also hosted Hoosier Lottery’s Hoosier Millionaire show, the longest-running lottery game show in the country.
In 2006, she became the host of The Daily 10 on E! awith Sal Masekela and Debbie Matenopoulos eventually joining the extended hour-long E! News show with Ryan Seacrest and Guiliana Rancic. Over the past years, she has covered the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Emmys, and more while serving as a host of E! Live from the Red Carpet.
But in the December of 2017, Sadler left E! News after learning of the shocking truth that her co-host Jason Kennedy was earning “double” of what she earns.

She stated that it was simply the “right thing to do” and that it was not some “crusade to be a voice for gender equality in the workplace.”
When asked whether Sadler is planning to sue E! News, she simply replied, “Not today.”
