Bear Grylls is the native of Donaghadee, Country Down, Northern Ireland. He stayed there with his family until he was four years old, later his family moved to Bembridge which is located on the Isle of Wight. He is the son of Sir Michael Grylls who was a conservative politician and mother Sarah Lady Grylls. His mother was also the daughter of politician Patricia Ford. He has an elder sister Lara Fawcett who is an interior designer, public relations agent and also cardio-tennis coach.
Bear Grylls first went to Ludgrove School and later got enrolled in Eton College. He started his mountaineering club when he was in his college. He got his part-time degree from University degree and studied Hispanic in 2002. Bear then graduated from the University of West England.
Rock climbing and sailing passion come from his childhood. He used to go for these stuff with his father who was the member of the Royal Yacht Squadron. Bear Grylls went through martial arts training and earned second dan black belt in Shotokan karate. He is said to be Anglican consider faith has the main support system of carrying on a good life.

Professional career
Bear Grylls thought after leaving his school was to be an Indian Army however he joined British force with 21 SAS and served for three years. He started his professional career being in a commercial for Sure deodorant. The first major ad campaign of Bear Grylls was for Harrods which was for UK Ministry of Defense for the anti-drugs TV campaign.
In 2005 Bear Grylls started his first TV show named 'Escape to the Legion' which was broadcasted on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and in Military Channel in the United States. He then later appeared in Born Survivor: Bear Grylls for British Channel 4. The same series was broadcasted in another area like New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the United States as Man vs. Wild. It was a great success however the show ended in the seventh season.
Later in 2010 Bear Grylls new project was launched titled 'Worst-Case Scenario' on the Discovery channel. As the show was canceled after its twelve episodes he was seen in 'Bear's Wild Weekend'. It was especially given in UK's Channel 4. 'Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls' was a reality competition series on NBC in 2013. In the same 'Bear Grylls: Escape from Hell was shown in the UK and the USA which reveals real life stories of common people who were trapped in unusual situations.
'Running Wild with Bear Grylls' the series in NBC was one of the most popular where Bear invite several celebrities and take them to a two-day trip in the wild. The other series that he has done till now are 'Bear Grylls Survival School', 'Survivor Games' and so on.
Achievements and Contributions
Conquering the world's highest peak in 1998 he became the world's youngest person to reach the height of Mount Everest. He was 23 then, he was preceded by James Allen 22. Bear Grylls, in 2004, was given the prestigious rank of LieutenantCommanderr in the Royal Naval Reserve and also the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve. He was involved in raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. For this purpose, in 2000, he led a team to the British Isles on jet skis.
Bear Grylls is the ambassador of 'The Prince's Trust', it is an organization that provides training to young people. It also helps them financially as well as practical support. 'Care for Children is another organization where Grylls act as an ambassador for. The other charitable work he is involved is aids for Global Angels, Hope and Homes for Children, and Christchurch earthquake.
