Andrea Barber was born on 3 July 1976 in Los Angeles, California, the United States of America. She grew up in Whittier, California and studied La Serna High School there. She is the youngest member to Sherry Barber and Donald Banks. Andrea has two older brothers named Justin and Darin.

Andrea Barber joined Whittier College and graduated with a degree in English. She then went England to obtain her higher education. She studied MA in the Women's Studies University of York. After her study, she came back to whiter and joined Whittier College's as an assistant to the director of 'Office of International Programs'.

She is currently single, Andrea Barber was married to husband Jeremy Rytky and has two kids. They tied their marriage knot in 2002 however divorced in the year 2014.

Andrea Barber most loved and a major role was from the original American soap Opera 'Days of Our Lives' as Carrie Brady. She did the role from 1982 to 1986. She is also best known as Kimmy Gibbler from the sitcom 'Full House'. Andrea stayed on the show eight years from 1987 to 1995. The role first was a recurring character which later became a regular one.

She also gave many guest appearances in various television series. However, as the sitcom 'Full House' was finished she retired from the acting career. Later Andrea Barber reprised the role for a Funny or Die sketch with her co-star of 'Full House' Dave Coulier.
