Alexis Glick, born as Alexis Cahill Donnelly, was born on the 7th of August, 1972 in New York, United States as the daughter of an entertainment lawyer Robert E. Donnelly and a former secretary for Lehman Brothers currently working as the office manager in Brooklyn for a New York real estate developer, Ellen Cahill Donnelly. Glick is a Dalton School on the Upper East Side graduate.
She went to the Columbia University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Glick tied the marital knot with Oren Glick, the founder and president of Shoot Digital, a photography company in New York and the couple has been blessed with four children, all sons – Logan, Sky, Kyle, and Slate.
They currently live in Gramercy Park and Flatiron neighborhoods of the Manhattan borough in New York but also own a home in Watermill, New York in Suffolk County.
Professional Life
Glick started her career at Goldman Sachs in the Equities Division as an analyst, later moving to Morgan Stanley for a position as an executive who controls the floor operations at the New York Stock Exchange. In doing so, Glick achieved the milestone of becoming the first and youngest woman to manage an operation in bulge bracket firm history. On the company’s Listed Equity Trading Desk at Morgan Stanley, she was one of the top producers from 1998 to 2001.
Glick was hired as a temporary host at NBC’s Today Show in 2006 and filled in on Early Today in 2005 along with MSNBC Live from time to time. She reached up to the position of correspondent in CNBC.
In the September of 2006, Glick announced joining the Fox News Channel as their Director of Business News and started making appearances on the Fox News programming. She has had the opportunity to interview great personalities including President Barak Obama, Secretary of the Treasury, former Secretary Of Commerce Gary Locke, Henry Paulson, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, along with the former Irish Head of State John Bruton.
After leaving Fox on 23rd December, 2009, Glick made appearances on shows as a guest commentator on CNN and ABC news. Glick went on to found, and is currently the CEO of the GENYOUth Foundation, a nonprofit that mainly focuses on improving child health.
