Tayari Jones

Tayari Jones was born to Father Mack Jones and Mother Barbara Jones (1970: age-48) in Atlanta. Jones spent her childhood in Atlanta.  

Jones's wiki and bio says that she completed her bachelor's degree in English from Spelman College and also received a master's degree from the University of Iowa in English. Toni Morrison is her favorite writer and she would want her to write her life story. 

It is little known about her personal life but her writing career is glowing.

Tayari Jones latest creation is An American Marriage released February 2018, It is her latest novel after The Untelling, Silver Sparrow and Leaving Atlanta.  She is very talented and equipped herself with many fellowships and nomination including Le Château de Lavigny (Switzerland), and the MacDowell Colony.

She is presently an Associate Professor at Rutgers-Newark University(New Jersey) where she teaches in the MFA program. Jones has published many anthologies and periodicals in the backdrop of Atlanta.

Jones's third novel Silver Sparrow was nominated as number 1 by American Booksellers Association. Jones is a literary genius, Jones has got various awards like Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers (2000), United States Artists Collins Fellowship (2008) and Radcliffe Institute Fellowship in 2011

Jones list of nominations is NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work and Goodreads Choice Awards for Best Fiction apart from that she has taught creative writing at Illinois and George Washington University.

This 47-year-old bestseller very much active spreading knowledge and empowering her voice in the society.  However, Tayari Jones's salaries and pay are not known. 

Jones is also very active in the literary field as she also chairs the board of Shewrites.com, She has been mentioned to be working closely with an organization that is helping Newyork's Teenagers.
