Later, she earned herself a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism in 1978. She then spent her next ten years working at the local stations around the country which also include KPRC-TV, WFAA-TV, KFMB-TV, WHDH-TV, and KCBS-TV. Shortly after completing her graduation, she accepted an offer for working at the ABC News initially anchoring the Health Show which was a weekend program on health and medical issues. Within few months, she became the co-anchor of World News This Morning. She is earning a handsome amount of salary and her net worth is estimated as $12 million.
She also worked on Good Morning America which led her to get a job at the CBS News. There, she co-anchored CBS This Morning along with Harry Smith.
