Nicki Minaj born as Onika Tanya Maraj was born on 8 December 1982 in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and Tobago. She is the daughter of Robert Maraj who was a part-time gospel singer and a financial executive. Her mother Carol Maraj was also a gospel singer.
