Juliet Huddy was born on 27th September 1969 in Miami Beach, Florida. Her father John was a TV producer and mother Erica was a singer/performer, so it's not so surprising that she chose to be a journalist herself owing to her background. After her education was completed, she worked as a reporter/producer for the morning newscast of KARO-FM in Columbia, Missouri. She later joined KADY-TV in Ventura, California (owned by her parents) and worked as promotions director and executive producer initially, but later started reporting at the Ventura County News Network as promotions director and also won numerous ADDY awards while she was there.
Huddy worked as the executive producer for Armed Response which became one of the finalists for the IRIS award given by the National Association of Television Program Executives (NAPTE). Huddy then shifted to Jacksonville in Florida after 5 years at California and started working as a general assignment reporter for WAWS station's nighty news broadcasts. During the same time, she was also the anchor for WFYV-FM's morning radio program The Lex and Terry Show, and also a regular guest on The KiddChris Show at WYSP / Philadelphia.

In 2006 after Fox News decided to stop producing Dayside but start a new morning TV show in syndication for TV stations owned by the Fox Television Stations Group.
