Personal Life
Zelasko was born on the 26th of October in 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio in United States of America. She spent her childhood growing up in New Jersey and San Diego, California. Zelasko was enthusiastic about journalism from an early age and later attended the San Diego State University to pursue her dreams.
Zelasko tied the marital knot with fellow sports anchor and reporter, Curt Sandoval. Sandoval works at KABC-TV, a station owned by ABC in Los Angeles, and is also a triathlete who achieved completing the Ironman in Hawaii. Their marriage took place in 1998 and currently they have two children.
It was announced on the 30th of December in 2007 that Zelasko was being treated for thyroid cancer.
Professional Life
Zelasko had begun her career in journalism since she was a college student working on metro traffic reports. Later she also worked on a talk show on KCEO-AM radio as the show’s host.
She was assigned as the co-host for the San Diego Padres pre-game show for a regional sports network, Prime Sports West, stationed at Southern California. She had the opportunity of covering numerous varieties of sports that includes NFL, NHL, college basketball and even auto racing. During this period, she was working as an assignment reporter.
In 1996, Zelasko joined the original broadcasting team on Fox and started working as the anchor at National Sports Reports, the newly formed Fox Sports Net show. In addition to this, she was also handling the responsibility of a sideline reporter in the Fox NFL Sunday.
Zelasko went on to join the NASCAR on Fox’s pit reporting team in February of 2001.
Zelasko was also hired by MLB Tonight in April 2009 and did numerous tasks assigned by the network during which she managed to make her MLB play-by-play debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. She created history from this debut, on May 20, 2009, by becoming the first woman to do play-by-play for a Dodgers game.
Zelasko has also served at one of the biggest sports network, ESPN, from May 2013 and was able to cover the NCAA Softball tournament.
As a popular media personality, the multitalented Jeanne Zelasko also appeared on a guest role in the fourth-season finale of the CBS TV series Diagnosis: Murder in 1997 and later made a cameo appearance in 2002 as an anchor in the Swiss motion picture Birdseye. She has also played the role of a reported in the movie Fever Pitch, followed by the role of a court reporter from 2011-2013 on the series Judge Joe Brown.

Despite being a famous media personality, Zelasko’s social media reach is not as great as one would expect of someone with a reputation such as hers.
The 51 year old isn’t usually active on social networking sites and currently possesses an official account on only one of the several popular sites i.e. on Twitter.
She is available at @JeanneZelasko on the site and has only 2.8 thousand followers. She had joined the site on May 2009 and has tweeted around 4 thousand times until now.
