Personal Life
Bristol Palin, born on 18th October, 1990 in Wasilla, Alaska, is the oldest daughter of former governor of Alaska Todd Palin and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin among their five children.
Currently a commercial fisherman and champion snowmobile race, her father Todd worked for BP as an oil field production operator. Her name came from the Bristol Inn at Bristol, Connecticut, the headquarters of ESPN, where her mother Sarah was employed and Bristol Bay, where her father Todd spent his childhood days.
She was “a neat freak and perfectionist” as a child according to her mother. She became pregnant when she was a teenager and became the center of media attention when her mother was running for Vice President.
Because an unmarried pregnant teen daughter would ruin their reputation in politics, Sarah’s advisors had her publicly announce the engagement of Bristol Palin, and Levi Johnston, the father of her child. Johnston, however, has stated that he was not being pressured into a shotgun wedding.
Palin and Johnston’s child Tripp Easton Mitchel Johnston-Palin, opened his eyes for the first time on December 27, 2008. Their engagement ended on March 2009. She announced that she had become engaged with Dakota Meyer, a fomer Marine and Medal of Honor recipient on March 13, 2015 and married on June.
On June 25, 2015, Palin announced that she was pregnant with her second child and that although this news would be “a huge disappointment” to them, but she didn’t want any of their “sympathies” or “lectures”. Later, she also gave birth to her third child and second daughter with Meyer.
