These wildflowers grow in various parts of Europe, North America, as well as Japan and it, is named after its delicate petals that can blow away even by the wind. As per Greek myth, anemones originated from the tears of Aphrodite when she mourned over the death of her beloved, Adonis.  So, these flowers symbolize forsaken love and protection from evil and misfortune and at the same time white anemone represents sincerity due to its fragile appearance.
