Afghanistan
When you are traveling Afghanistan, you are more likely to see the mines, guns, and terror rather than the magnificent and gorgeous places. It’s enormously dangerous to visit the places here cause it’s officially a war zone and you never know when the bombs and fires drop on your head.
Located in South Asia and Central Asia, Afghanistan aka the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is a landlocked country with spectacular beauty but now it has turned to become a terror zone.
A historically blended country with multiple cultures, peoples, and art was a favorite among travelers, however, in present context people have to think twice when they plan a trip for Afghanistan because the country has been a chaos due to extreme wars.
And since the areas are totally unsafe because of ongoing militant attacks, kidnapping, suicide bombings, banditry hostage takings and fires, visit Afghanistan is strongly discouraged. But if you still intend to visit the country then look out for a safety zone although there are only a few of them.
Egypt
Egypt insane beauty has offered miracles and amazing frame of history, cultures and artistic masterpiece to its visitors all this time. But it’s not same always, from one of the most liked tourist destinations to one of the most dangerous countries in the world; Egypt has been through a lot in recent few years.
To be honest it has become a favorite country among terrorist groups and they have frequently attacked the country mostly targeting tourist spots, government officials, civil aviation and public venues.
These civil wars, rebellion, and terrorist groups have brought bloodshed and mayhem to the country, instigating a huge downfall in the number of travelers. It was further followed by an accidental death of eight Mexican tourists in September 2015. So definitely it's a no, no country for tourist.
El Salvador
If you have El Salvador on your list, try to avoid it as best as possible, cause it’s a green light for terror and menace in this country. The situation over here is far worse than what you have heard and imagined. Armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, slaughter, carjacking, nothing comes short in this place, and shockingly it’s escalating tremendously.
Gang activity is pretty common here as thousands of criminal gangs operate in this country including Eighteen Street (M18) and Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).
Their proper agenda is narcotics, arms trafficking and kidnapping for ransom. Tourist is to be cautious even at the hotels, amusement parks, roads and busses as the armed robberies is widespread in this country.
And when it comes down to homicide, El Salvador lists the top with highest murder rates in the world. There is a staggering record of murders over here and sex assault is alarmed here.

Kenya
Undoubtedly Kenya is one of the gorgeous countries in the world with the glorious range of mountains, lush plains, amazing wildlife, and wonderful weather. But how can we simply ignore that Kenya is the very same country which poses a great threat for travelers to visit.
Kidnapping, mugging, and robbing frequently happen here. Whether, its railway stations or airport, small cities or large ones, people have to be very careful here especially foreigners as violent crime resulting death is pretty normal here.
And if you are a passenger who loves to travel alone then Kenya is definitely not a country for you. Walking in the isolated places and beaches with heavy cash and jewelry can be a cause of death here. And never come to Kenya during elections as the cities are lit in violence and protests.
Colombia
Thousands of people visit Colombia from across the globe to witness the Caribbean beaches and mesmerizingly beautiful places but that doesn’t change the fact that country has link-ups with violence and terror. Although it’s not as worse as it was, however, the violence is not eradicated fully.
Kidnapping, narco-trafficking, robbery and if that’s not enough gangs and murders, you can’t expect any less than this in Colombia.
The demands of drugs are very high over here. In fact, more than 13 tons of Cocaine worth more than one-third of billion dollars, was recently seized over here in Colombia, making it the biggest drug bust ever in the history.
Violence related to arms and armed groups constantly happens in the rural areas as well as in the cities. These criminal groups also the violent political groups grip foreigners and civilians for extortion. So, traveling to Colombia is definitely not a good idea.
Venezuela
Crime seems to hit the nerves of Venezuela whether it’s rich or poor, locals or foreigners, each and every people here are affected with the crimes but it’s mostly middle-class groups who are frequently targeted.
Venezuela is not a place for chill out or overseas vacation unless you wanna observes the terror.
When the whole Venezuela is fighting with the crimes, you can’t expect the capital ‘Caracas’ to stay behind. And notwithstanding, in spite of, droopingly gorgeous Andes Mountain and tranquil Caribbean coastline, violence is at the peak in this country.
Over few years, Venezuela is struck by the on-going crisis like medicine and lack of food followed by violent protests.
And not to forget the awful crime when Monica Spears, the former Miss Venezuela with the daughter and husband was nearly shot to death. Also, it has made it to the list of the highest murder rate in the world, being second in the race.

Honduras
Honduras is a beautiful country with un-spoilt mountains and beaches. It’s captivating to see the cloud forests haunted by jaguars. But since violence has oozed into the bones of this gorgeous country, it’s very dangerous to travel there.
People live here but their lives have not turned out as expected. Criminals both in gangs and individual perform the criminal activities like murder, kidnapping, extortion in the areas of San Pedro Sula, and Tegucigalpa. They also pass out the cocaine in nearby countries
In fact, U.S embassy has restricted government officials and staffs not to travel to the department of Gracias a Dios due to drug trafficking and criminal activities. So if you want to stay safe here, be aware of your local surroundings and stay updated.
Iraq
You can visit Iraq only if you like the odors of gunfire’s, mines and bombs but if you are not among those then get Iraq out of your head cause it's unsafe to visit here. And if you happened to get here then there is no cert that you’ll get home in a piece.
In 2007, Baghdad, the capital of Iraq was considered the most dangerous city in the world and somewhere it still is. Bur in this center city of crime, U.S. citizens are most likely to be the target. They are kidnapped for extortion and theirs is a high risk of terrorist violence for them.
The present condition in Iraq is terribly imprecise, the US military is on their way back to U.S, so there is more probability that you’ll get shot this time. The heat of the war is still there the country and it’s not going to cool down any time near.
Nigeria
The economic powerhouse of Africa, Nigeria has managed to grab the international attention with the on-going tension and violent criminal activities by Islamist group Boko Haram. Traveling Nigeria and staying safe is pretty hard because the gunshot and fires can attack you at any time and any place.
Since the infrastructures and development are pretty rough in Nigeria, U.S. Mission and staffs are unable to provide proper services to their citizens and the local people. And due to the potential risk of armed attacks, kidnappings, and robberies, travelers are asked to avoid some of the Nigerian parts.
In Nigeria, hundreds of thousands of people are killed and murdered an extremist group called Boko Haram. They mostly target mosques, schools, churches and government installations. So, if it’s possible, try to avoid your visit to Nigeria.

Yemen
It’s a warning alert for tourist: Don’t risk your life to visit Yemen as it is one of the unsafe and dangerous countries in the world. And the government officials have warned their citizens not to travel over here. There is the whiff of guns fire in Yemen which is terrifying to watch.
Frankly, the whole security system in Yemen is terrible and the government control is almost non-existent here. There is a whole lot a threat of violence to the visitors and to further add kidnappings by armed tribesmen, illicit detention against travelers from the terrorist groups are frequently carried here.
And since the beginning of March 2015, conflict, rebel groups in Sanaa have detained U.S. citizens. So make sure you don’t visit the place.
