John Avlon: Birth, Education, Family, Marriage
John Phillips Avlon celebrates his birthday on the 19th of January and was born in the United States of America as the son of John Jeffrey Avlon and Dianne Alexander. His father worked as an executive in the real estate business at New York City and South Carolina in Charleston.
Avlong is descended from Greek heritage. For his early education, he was sent to attend at the Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts. Because of his incredible academics and extracurricular activities, Avlon was accepted at Yale University and he completed his college education from Yale and received a Bachelor’s degree.
He pursued higher education i.e. his graduated studies, at the Columbia University and received a Master’s Degree.The woman to share marital life with Avlon turned out to be none other than Margaret Hoover.
The couple married in 2009 and was blessed with their first child, a son, Jack, in 2013 and their second child, a daughter, Toula Lou, in 2015.

Avlon was always an enthusiastic writer. So he started his professional career working for Mayor Rudolph Guiliani, ending up as Giuliani’s youngest speechwriter till date. He quickly progressed and became the Chief Speechwriter. Along with this, he was also given responsibility of the Deputy Director of Policy.
Avlon has been invited to prestigious institutions including the Citadel, New York University (NYU), Yale University, the Kennedy School of Government to deliver speeches and was assigned as Giullani’s Deputy Policy Director and Director of Speechwriting during the presidential campaign in 2008.
Avlon joined The Daily Beast in order to work as the Editor-in-Chief in 2013 and only a year later, in the September of 2014, Avlon had managed to increase the visitors on the site by 60%.
Avlos has appeared on popular Television programs including The Daily Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Real Time with Bill Maher. In order to propel his television career further, he created his own show “Wingnut of the Week” and was allowed to air the show on CNN with himself as the host.
Avlon, an active political commentator, is one of the founding leaders of the 501(c)(4) movement for the Democrats, Independents and Republicans known as No Labels in 2010. He was appointed to work as a member of the New York City Voter Assistance Advisory Committee by Mayor Michael Bloomberg himself in 2011.
