Bryant Gumbel: Personal Life
Bryant, 69 was born on 29th September 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born to judge father and city clerk mother. He happens to be a younger sibling of Grey Gumbel, American sportscaster.
Talking about his educational background he got enrolled at La Salle Institute and later shifted to Bater College where he graduated in 1970.
As far as his personal relationship is concerned, he got married twice. Firstly he married June where the couple has two children. However, because of their personal reason, they got separated in 2001 and immediately he got married to Marry Hilary. Currently, he is living a happy married life with Marry.
Bryant Gumbel: Professional Life
Upon completing his studies, he worked in Black Sports Magazine as an editor in the year 1971. He then initiated his career as a sportscaster in KHBC in October 1972.
The year 1975 gave him an opportunity to work as a co-host by NBC Sports. He promptly hosted Major Baseball leagues, national football league, and various college baseballs.
Following his success, he turned out to be a principal anchor of Today and broadcasted from different parts of the world in September 1982.
After working there for 15 long years, he earned various Emmy Awards.
During years 1997-98, he was the one to host CBS prime-time show. It happened to be a magazine show where one of the episodes “Public Eye with Gumbel” won an award. Moreover, other than magazine show, Gumbel appeared in many shows at CBS, “The Early Show” which aired in 1999.
