She and her family moved from one country to another time and again as her father had his service in the Air Force. Due to this reason she had to change her schools quite often. After her parents got divorced in 1986 she started living with her adopted brother Vincent Jr., mother and stepfather. Later Vanessa decided to reside in Charleston, South California and attended Bishop England High School, a Roman Catholic. She then lived with her own father and Donna, her stepmother.
