Timothy Hutton is an American actor as well as director who is the youngest actor who won the Academy Award for the Best Supporting Actor that he won when he was 20 years old for his performance in Ordinary People as Conrad Jarrett. Since then, he has been appearing regularly in the feature films as well as on the TV with the features roles in drama Taps, the horror movie The Dark Half and the spy movie called The Falcon and The Snowman among others. He has been active in the acting field since the year 1965 and till now, he has been very successful.

He started with the parts in several of the TV movies most notably 1979 ABC TV film called Friendly Fire. His other filmography includes Zuma Beach, Never Too Late, The Oldest Living Graduate, Q&A, Iceman, Taps, Strangers, Zelda, French Kiss, Beautiful Girls, Kidnapped, Avenger, WW3, Leverage, and many more.

He is the son of Jim Hutton and Maryline Adams. His father was an actor whereas his mother was a teacher. His parents got divorced when he was 3 years old and he along with his sister named Heidi was took by their mother to Boston.

Later, they returned to California when Timothy was 12 years old. He went to get his education from the Fairfax High School and there, he played as Nathan Detroit in the school production of Guys and Dolls. It was at that time, when he realized that he wanted to be an actor. When he was 6 years old, he sought out his father and then moved with him in the Los Angeles in 1976.

He is a tall guy with the height of 6 feet. Prior to that, he is also one of the owners of New York City restaurant as well as bar P. J. Clarke’s.
