Stuart Scott who is a Sportscaster and an anchor on the Sports Center in ESPN was born on 19th July 1965. He is the native of Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is youngest among four children of his parents. Scott has three siblings, two sisters named Susan and Cynthia and a brother named Steven. Stuart went to Mount Tabor High School for attending the 9th and 10th grade. He then joined Richard J. Reynolds High School that is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he finished his last two years. Scott then attended University of North Carolina from and got graduated from there in the year 1987 with a bachelor of arts in the speech communication. . He is also the member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

After completing his graduation, Scott began to work at the WPDE-TV located in Florence, South Carolina in 1988 as a reporter. He remained there for two years till 1990. After leaving the network, he then moved to WRAL-TV 5 where he began to work as a reporter. He worked for them until the year 1993. After that, he again moved to the WESH which is an affiliated of NBC that is located in Orlando, Florida. He remained there from 1993 till 1995. While he was working there, he also was hired by ESPN2 as their host of the Sports Night in the year 1993 at the launch of the network. Currently, he has been working with the ESPN family as anchor for the Sports Center episodes and National Football league as well as National Basketball association programming.

During his tenure at ESPN till now, Scott has already interviewed Top Professional Athletes which also includes Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods as well as two American Presidents then-Senator Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. In addition to Sports Center, Stuart has also hosted numbers of television shows. Stuart’s NBA works include hosting NBA Finals and the NBA Fastbreak whereas his NFL works include NFL Live, NFL Prime Time, NFL Matchup, and NFL Countdown. Prior to that, he had also hosted the special as well as only broadcast episode of an America’s Funniest Home Videos which is titled AFV: the sports edition. Besides that, Scott had also hoisted several of the ESPN Game Shows such as Bream Job and Stump the Schwab.

During New York Jets mini camp on 3rd April 2002, Stuart got injured when the football hit his face while he was filming a special for the ESPN. The same night he underwent surgery and he was out of his work for few months. Due to the accident, he had the ptosis or the dropping of an eyelid. Besides that, after he became ill while he was covering Pittsburgh Steelers-Miami Dolphins Monday night football game in Pittsburgh on 26th November 2007, Scott had an emergency appendectomy. The surgery also discovered the malignancy which required the additional surgery for removing possibly cancerous tissue. Scott then returned after a month later and he continued the on-air broadcasting during the recommended preventive chemotherapy. Later in the year 2011, it was again revealed that he was battling the cancer. The disease entered remission in the early of the year 2012 nut he was again diagnosed with the cancer on 14th January 2013. On 16th July, he was honored at ESPYS with Jimmy V Award for the ongoing, and inspirational fight against the cancer.

To talk about his personal life, Stuart was married to Kim Scott. They got married in the year 1993. The couple are now divorced with each other. But there is no any information that when they got separated. Stuart has two daughters with Kim who are named as Sydni and Taelor. Currently, Stuart is now residing in Avon, Connecticut with his two daughters. Apart from that, Scott is now at the age of 49 and he stands tall at the height of six feet. He has got a good personality. His net worth is estimated as $15 million and is making descent salary from his work.
