Stephanie Abrams

Stephanie Abrams celebrates her birthday on the 27th of October. She was born in Wellington, Florida, U.S. in 1978. Abrams graduated with honors as she completed her Bachelor’s degree in geography (B.S.), as well as a minor degree in mathematics at the University of Florida In Gainesville.

She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and became a member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, later serving as President. Abrams is a dual degree holder with her second Bachelor’s degree in meteorology, earned from Florida State University at Tallahassee.

She practiced live weather forecasting at Florida State on FSU Live, which is a weather production run that provides students news as well as weather reports. Later she taught a meteorology class as a teaching assistant at FSU.

A member of National Weather Association (NWA) and American Meteorological Society (AMS), Abrams rose to the ranks of President in 2002, serving until 2003, at the North Florida chapter of AMS.

Stephanie worked her first job at WTXL, an ABC affiliate as a morning meteorologist in Tallahassee, Florida. She moved on to on-air work for The Weather Channel, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in, from the July of 2003 to 2005. After that, Abrams co-hosted her first show, Weekend View. 

Later she co-hosted a show with her own name on it, Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecase with Mike Bettes. She also co-hosted Wake Up With Al with NBC’s Al Roker in 2009.

She is mostly known for covering the 2010 Winter Olympics held at Vancouver from 8 to 28 of February. Later in 2012, Abrams worked on Weekend Today as interim weather anchor. She is currently co-hosting America’s Morning Headquarters (AMHQ) with Jennifer Carfagno on The Weather Channel (TWC).

Abrams made a cameo appearance in Sharknado 2: The Second One in 2014.

Her long successful has definitely has earned her recognition and acknowledgement from her colleagues and audience. But fame is not the only thing that her career has earned her.
