Sian Mary Williams is a famous journalist and current affairs presenter who is known across the globe for her work with the BBS. She was born in the year 1964, 28th November which makes her 52 years old at present.
Starting from the year 2001 until the year 2012, Williams regularly presented the weekday editions of BBC breakfast along with all main news bulletins on BBC one. In the year 2014, she replaced Samira Ahmed as the presenter for the BBC One’s Discussion program named Sunday Morning Live.
Williams has stayed as the main presenter at the 5 News at 5 starting from the year 2016.
Williams was born in the city of Paddington situated at the London which makes her nationality English. Her parents were Welsh and she was brought up in Eastbourne at East Sussex. Her mother’s name is Katherine Rees who was born in Llanelli but had moved out to London to pursue a career in nursing. Her father’s name father was born in Swansea and his family business was farming; he was a journalist who worked first in printing and later in radio. She gained her BA in The English language from oxford Polytechnic and then she went to study in America and the name of the university was the University of Rhode Island.
Williams started working for the BBC in the year 1985 and then started working as a reporter and producer for BBC Local Radio Stations in Liverpool and Manchester. Beginning from the year 1990 till 1997, she was an editor for BBC radio 4’s The World One and PM programs. She also used to work as a program editor for the numerous news and election specials across Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Williams joined the BBC Breakfast in the year 2001 on 12th January; she was a relief presenter who started by presenting Friday-Sunday along with Darren Jordon, with the main presenter Sarah Montague and then later with Jeremy Bowen. In the year 2004, she covered for Raworth at the Six O’clock News at the time of her maternity leave.
Williams got married to Neale Hunt in the year 1991, in the month of February. Hunt used to be a director for the financial firm named McCann Erickson. The couple is blessed with two children who were born in the year 1991 and 1994 respectively. After they split up, Williams got married to Paul Woolwich, who is her present husband, in the year 2006 and gave birth to a son in the year 2006. Later in the year 2009, she gave birth to a daughter in the month of March. She also ran the 2001 New York City Marathon and then spent some days for recovering in hospital from hyponatraemia. She spent some year without running but in the year 2013, Williams participated in the Virgin London Marathon.
While the BBC’s Coming Home was being filmed in the year 2010, Williams discovered the fact that she was the first member of her family to be born out of the Wales of her known family ethnicity that has been continuing for 350 years.
