Shelly Gilbert who is now at the age of 68 is the wife of Thomas Gilbert who was the elderly founder of Manhattan Hedge Fund. Her husband has already died and he was shot by their 30 years old son named Thomas Gilbert Jr. according to the law-enforcement sources, the crime took place on Sunday, 15th January of 2015 inside family’s swank East Side Apartment. Her husband was dead when he was at the age of 70. Shelley herself is the witness of the horrible crime. She saw her son firing the fatal shot and she called at 911. His son then dropped the gun and fled on the foot from eighth floor apartment at the 20 Beekman Place near United Nations.
Shelley is the native of Bernville, New Jersey. Shelley attended the Ethel Walker School and later, she went on to join the Hollins University from where she got graduated. Her husband Thomas was founder of the Harvard-education as well as the chief officer at the Wainscott Capital Partners whereas his son who is also known as Tommy Gilbert was graduate of the year 2003 of the Deerfield Academy located in Western Massachusetts. He was also accepted at the Princeton University from where he graduated in 2009. Shelly is the daughter of Mr. Rea and Mrs. Wilton Treat Rea.
As a child, Shelley was named as Shelley Rea. Her father was vice president of Bell Telephone Laboratories located in Holmdel, N.J. whereas her mother was the member of New York City Commission to United Nations as well as the Consular Corps.
