Sasha Roiz

Sasha Roiz was born on 21 October 1973 to a Russian Jewish family. When Sasha was seven in 1980 he along with his family members shifted to Montreal, Canada. He then went to join the theater school located in Montreal. Prior to that, he studied history. In addition to that, he also got enrolled at Guildford School of Acting in England.

Sasha started gaining fame as he made his appearance in a number of the popular television series like House, CSI: Miami, The Mentalist, NCIS, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Lie to Me. He could also be seen in the recurring role as Marcus Diamond in Warehouse 13.

His big break came in the year 2008 when he landed on the Caprica as Sam Adama. It is a spin-off of Battlestar Galactica. Here he has the of a Tauron enforcer for Ha’la’tha crime syndicate on Caprica. He frequently goes head to head along with his lawyer brother named Joseph Adama which is a character played by an actor Esai Morales.

Later, on 28 April 2009, his role in Caprica was expanded to the regular series. In one of the interviews, he stated in that it was only revealed to him later that his character would be a gay. He took the role as an opportunity to help him know about the relationship of a gay character and explore the issue of homosexuality on a social level.

Taking this role he understood the sci-fi setting of gay character which he tells of being a great matter to know. Later, in 2012, he also guests starred in a romantic comedy series named Husbands in its second season, a web series written by Jane Espenson.

Prior to that, Sasha has also made his appearance in multiple of other movies as well as TV shows and series which also include Pompeii, Man of The Year, The Day After Tomorrow, Assault on Precinct 13, Land of The Dead, 16 Blocks, Unthinkable, Extracted, Jeff Ltd., G-spot, Tilt, Kevin Hill, Missing, Mutant X, Playmakers, Largo Winch, Show Me Yours, Beautiful People, The Jane Show, The Path to 9/11, In Plain Sight, House, Castle, The Mentalist, Across the River to Motor City and many more.
