A blonde lady Sandi Toksvig is a British Danish writer, comedian, actor, producer as well as a presenter on the British radio and TV as well as the political activist. Sandi is the native of Copenhagen, Denmark. She came into this world on 3rd May of the year 1958 which has now made her at the age of 57. She is the daughter of Claus Toksvig and his wife Julie Toksvig. His father was foreign correspondent for Danish TV channel called Danmarks Radio whereas her mother was a British. She went to get her education from the Tormead School which is an independent girls’ school located near Guildford.

At the beginning of her career, Sandi’s first job was the position as follow spot operator for a musical Jesus Christ Superstar when she was at the age of 18. She also attended the Girton College, Cambridge from where she studied law, archaeology as well as anthropology. Later, she got graduated with the first class degree and also received two prizes for the outstanding achievement. Her other family members also include her brother named Nick Toksvig and a sister named Jenifer Toksvig. Previously, she was the host of the News Quiz on the BBC Radio 4 from 2006 till June of 2015.

Moving on to her personal life biography, she is a married woman. She is a lesbian so she does not have any husband. At present, she is residing on a houseboat in Wandsworth together with her partner Debbie Toksvig who is a psychotherapist. The pair joined in the civil partnership in the year 2007 and they renewed their vows with each other on 29th March of 2014 which was the day when the same sex marriage was introduced in the England and Wales. Later, in December of same year, their civil partnership was then converted into the marriage.

Prior to that, Sandi has also got three children whom she has adopted. Among them, two are the daughters named as Jessica and Megan and another one is a son named Theo. The kids were carried by her former partner Peta Stewart with whom she got separated in 1997. Additionally, Sandi has also written more than 20 fiction as well as non-fiction books for the children and adults starting in the year 1994 with the Tales from the Norse’s Mouth which is a fiction tale for the children.

Sandi is a lady with the average height of 1.5 m that is four feet and eleven inches. In addition to that, Sandi is the joint founder of Women’s Equality Party which was established in March of 2015. It was installed by the Chancellor of the University of Portsmouth in October of 2012. At present, she is the president of Women of the Year Lunch. In the year 2016, Sandi would be taking over from Stephen Fry as the host of a popular BBC TV quiz show known as QI. Additionally, she has also presented a quiz show called 1001 Things You Should Know on the Channel 4 TV in 2012-13 and started hosting the revived series of same channel’s classic game show called Fifteen to One. Besides that, she is also active in Twitter and Instagram.
