An American actress Rena Sofer is primarily known for making her appearances in the daytime TV, episodic guest appearances as well as made-for-TV movies. In addition to that, she has also received a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for playing the character as Lois Cerullo in soap opera known as General Hospital. She is the native of Arcadia, California, United States. She came into this world on 2nd December of the year 1968 which has now made her reach at the age of 47. Sofer is the daughter of Susan and Martin Sofer. Her father is a Conservative Jewish rabbi whereas her mother is a psychology professor. After her birth, she and her family members subsequently moved to Pittsburgh. There, she was raised up after the divorce of her parents. She went to get her education from the Frisch School which is a Jewish high school located in Paramus, New Jersey. She had resided in North Bergen, New Jersey. There, her father was Rabbi of the Temple Beth El. She also got enrolled at the North Bergen High School from where she got graduated before beginning classes at the Montclair State College.

Her first high profile was as Rocky on daytime soap opera called Loving. Perhaps, she is mostly known for portraying her character as Lois Cerullo in General Hospital which made her win a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama series. In May 2013, Rena was announced to join the CBS soap opera called The Bold and The Beautiful in a newly created role of Quinn Fuller.
