Peter Ebdon was born on 27 August 1970 in Islington, London, England. Later, he moved to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. He studied at Highbury Grove School located in London Borough of Islington.
It's been said that he left his study as he already started his snooker career while being in HighBury. 'Peter Ebdon studied Latin and Ancient Greek at school, but left with no qualification to embark on a snooker career after ducking out of seven 'O' Levels and one CSE', Telegraph.
Talking about his married life Peter has married twice as his first marriage with Deborah could not be successful. He has four children from his first marriage: Clarissa, Tristan, Ethan and Ruby Mae. Marrying Deborah, he moved to Dubai and stayed there until 2009 but later got divorced. It was revealed on 22 January 2009 Peter revealed about his separation.
Within a year, in 2010, he got married to his second wife Nora who is Hungarian by ethnicity. He has since then become a vegan. Peter has also recorded a version of the song 'I am a Clown', by David Cassidy which was released as a single. Then he again released his second single 'Fall of Paradise'.

Peter Ebdon started his career in the year 1991, at the age of 21. He was mostly spotted wearing a ponytail. He astonished people defeating Steve Davis in the first round of 1992 World Championship. He lost the quarterfinal round to a resurgent Terry Griffiths, however, he won the 'WPBSA Young Player of the Year' award. The same year, he pushed himself harder and made four centuries in the five frames.
The year 2002 to 2010 was his best years of achievements. It was when he defeated, world champion, Stephen Hendry in World Snooker Championship in 2002. In 2006 she won the UK Championship and became the ninth player to win both the World and UK Championship. Then in 2009 he beat John Higgins and won the China Open.
In the verse of maintaining a prolific career, Peter Ebdon lost his first round of Australian Goldfields Open and Shanghai Masters. As a consequence, he lost his chance to be qualified for the UK Championship. In Stuart Bingham, he again lost the game. Even during the match against Simon Bedford in 2008 Grand Prix, he inadvertently spotted brown believing it to be red. He again made the same mistake in final of 2012 Australian Goldfields Open and again in 2015 Indian Open.
