Peter Biaksangzuala who was an Indian footballer player died on 19th October 2014 after he somer sault in the celebration of the goal against the Chanmari West FC. He landed by hitting his head on the ground which damaged his spinal cord. He was at the age of 23. Peter was a defensive midfielder for the Bethelehem Vengthlang FC that plays in Mizoram Premier League which is the elite amateur league of small North Eastern Indian province of the Mizoram.

After the incident in 14th October, Peter was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital and it was revealed in a CT scan that he had damaged his spinal cord. He was then transferred to ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and after that he was pronounced dead in Aizawal Civil Hospital after five days on Sunday, 19th October. A source has said that Peter was trying to do the Germany’s Klose signature flip stunt but unfortunately, he landed very badly that he lost his life.  

Bethelehem Vengthlang FC has decided that they would retire Peter’s jersey number 21. The coach of the Bethelehem Vengthlang FC told that Peter was a lad who has a good manner and he always maintained the discipline on as well as off the pitch. He doesn’t think that there are many people like Peter. Young Peter has touched hearts of the many people. There is also a news that he has donated his eyes for needy. This has also made him great among the people.
