Paul Thomas Anderson, who is popularly known as P.T. Anderson, is an American filmmaker who is a filmmaker who had interest in making films from young age. He was born in the year 1970, which makes his age 45 years at present. His father, Ernie Anderson was a DJ, and a television, radio announcer and a voiceover artist, who inspired his son to become a filmmaker. In the year 1993, he wrote and directed a short movie named Cigarettes and Coffee with a small budget of $20,000. He went to Sundance Institute where he had a deal with Rysher Entertainment for direction of his first ever feature film, which was a neo-noir crime thriller movie named Hard Eight in the  year 1996. After many years of experimentation, he wrote and filmed his first real production as a senior in high school when in Montclair Prep using the money that was earned by him after cleaning cages in a pet store.
