Paul Hartley who is a Scottish football manager as well as a former player is currently serving as the manager of the Dundee. As a player, he has won the trophies with both Hearts and Celtic as well as he has also earned 25 caps for Scottish National Team. As a manager, Paul also gained the success firstly taking Alloa Athletic from buttom tier to second tier in the successive seasons and taking Dundee back into Scottish top flight. In all achieving the three successive promotions in the first three seasons in the management. He had played for the teams such as St. Johnstone, Hearts, Celtic, Bristol City, and Aberdeen.

Paul was appointed as the manager at Alloa Athletic on 17th May of 2011. He managed to get full squad together and Alloa won title on 7th April of 2012. He then resigned after 5-1 loss against the Dumbarton on 18th January of 2014. Hartley then signed for the Dundee as the manager on 5th February of the year 2014 by replacing John Brown. He then led the team to Scottish Championship title on final day as well as promotion to Scottish Premiership for 2014-15 season. It was then followed up with taking Dee to the top 6 finish in next season.
