An American actor, producer, director, writer as well as a musical performer Nate Parker has made his appearance in Beyond the Lights, The Great Debators, The Secret life of Bees, Non-Stop, Arbitrage, Felon and Pride. In addition to that, he was All-American Wrestler at both the Great Bridge high School and The University of Oklahoma. Nate is the native of Norfolk, Virginia, United States. He came into this world on 18th November of the year 1979 which has now made him reach at the age of 36. He is the son of Carolyn who was a 17 years old mother at that time. Nate’s mother never married his biological father but did wed a man who gave Nate his last name.

Nate’s family members also include his four younger sisters. According to the DNA analysis, some of the ancestry is from Cameroon. His father died when he was eleven years old and however, he became involved in classroom fights and home power struggles with the step-father. He then moved to Virginia Beach for staying with his maternal uncle who is a former wrestler. After that, he joined the Pennsylvania State University for his further education. As a sophomore there in 1999, he and his teammate were accused having non-consensual sex with a woman who had passed out. But when she admitted during trial to having had the consensual sex with him the day before alleged rape, Parker was acquitted in 2001.

Prior to that, Nate has also been active in charitable works donating his time as volunteer wrestling coach and as a political activist. In addition to that, he aspires to provide scholarships to youth between age of 17 and 25 at the Wiley College through 100 Men of Excellence Initiative. He has also been a supporter of Boys and Girls Clubs of America and also a program known as Peace4Kids which is a program for the foster youths and underprevileged youth in South Los Angeles, California. Additionally, he also coaches a wrestling team of 10, 11 and 12 years old at the Rosemead High School and he also assists in coaching wrestling at Rio Hondo College. He was also an active supporter of and volunteer of 2008 Barack Obama Presidential Campaign.

Nate is married to his wife named Sarah DiSanto who is the native of Erie, Pennsylvania. The couple met with each other while they were both attending the Penn State in Frontier Park of Erie during summer of 2007. He also has three children together with his wife. In addition to that, Nate is a University of Oklahoma alumnus. He stands at height of five feet and nine inches. His first profession was as computer programmer which he described as being in a cubicle writing code. In 2006, he played a role of a lead male in Rome and Jewel. He also had a smaller role in Pride about an African American swim team. In addition to that, he had also made his appearance in several other movies and TV series such as Red Tails, About Alex, Non-Stop, Felon, Cruel World, Beyond the Lights, Every Secret Thing, Red Hook Summer, Cold Case, Kurtlar vadisi, The Unit, and more.
