Mo Farah who is a British long distance as well as middle distance runner was born on 23rd March of the year 1983. He is the native of Mogadishu, Somalia. Although he is known by the name Mo Farah, his real name is Mohamed Muktar Jama Farah. He also has a twin brother with whom he spent his early childhood in Djibouti. When he was eight years old, he moved to Britain. He went to study at the Feltham Community College located in London. He was athletic from his childhood.
During his career till now, Farah has won various accolades for the athletic achievements. He was also voted as the European Athlete of the Year in the year 2011 and won the prize again in 2012. In addition to that, he was also appointed as the Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2013 New Year Honours for the services to athletics.
