Michael John Putnam a.k.a. Michael Putnam is an American professional who was born in 1st June 1983 in the city of Tacoma in Washington D.C. He is the first American Golfer who has participated in the PGA Tour. He attended Pepperdine University and completed his education there before turning professional in 2005.

He was a three time all America golfer at Pepperdine in 2002-2005. He also won the Byron Nelson Award in the year 2005.In the year 2011, an unfortunate knee injury forbid him from playing from playing professional golf till 2012.He had won Utah Championship held in the year 2010, Mexico Open In the year 2013.  His bio also includes winning mid-atlantic open in the same year. He also won Pacific coast Amateur before turning to a pro.

He played on web.com tour in the year 2006 and at that time he has 2 second places finishes. On that very year, he earned pga tour card for the year 2007. He was raised in the vicinity of golf in his childhood. His father Daniel Putnam and his mother Karin Putnam had joined a small golf club in Tacoma some two decades ago. They could never have predicted that their sons would become legends in the history of Pepperdine University. He was raised in a great home and he knows all of the family values and tradition. He wants to live life; he wants to live every second of his time by enjoying what he does. He has a brother named Andrew Putnam. Both of the brothers share same dream in the Golf course.  

Just like Serena Williams and Venus Williams in Tennis, These two brothers are related with each other by blood. They say that they can beat a tiger by meshing their talents. Michael started playing golf late; he was not much involved in it until the sophomore year in high school when he beat highly-hyped player from a district rival school and that was that. After that event he started taking golf seriously.

Michael tasted many success stories while playing in the tournament. His brother Andrew watched him progress and took similar steps to follow his brother’s winning streak. In spite of their healthy rivalry, they put the same view on one thing, that a young pro golfer’s way of thinking decides what they are, some treat them like their life and some don’t.  

With the height of 6 feet and 4 inches, Michael Putnam weights 98 kilograms, he is the co- creator and co-founder of Stixtips golf instruction programs which got launched in July 2013.  He does not have any girlfriend since he is married and has son and daughter. And he writes in his twitter account that he loves his wife and children very much. Nothing less can be expected from a social guy who is an epitome of a person who manages his career as well as his family perfectly.

He also has qualified for 2015 US open. He also has made appearances on Palmer Cup held in the year of 2005 and Walker Cup held in the same year where he was announced the winner. He has accumulated a total of three professional wins. He is ranked as world number 300th Golf player with his best performances given in about 20 international games and with three wins in Web.com tours according to espn.
