Mauricio Roberto Pochettino is the former Argentine football player and the current manager of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Mauricio Pochettino formerly played as a central Argentina defender for the Espanyol. The managerial term of Mauricio began at Tottenham Hotspur from May of 2014. Managerial Statistics

Pochettino started his managerial career in La Liga in 2009 in Espanol with an assignment to prevent relegation. He successfully played a draw with Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in his first game finishing in the middle table with comfort.

In January 2009, he became the third coach of Espanyol in the 2008-09 season with side ranking third from bottom. He remained with the team until 2012. It was later announced on 18 January 2013 that Pochettino would be new first-team manager of Premier League club Southampton. The post he held made him the second Argentine manager of the English football after Osvaldo Ardiles.

He coached 9 of his own teammates at the Espanol and he spent three years before terminating the contract with the club in 2012. 

He started as a head coach in English Premier League Club Southampton on 18 Jan 2013 as Nigel Adkins successor. His shared a point with Everton in his first game after a draw and eventually recording his first win against the top club Manchester City. He finished the club at the 8th position following season securing highest point since the start of the premier league.

Pochettino became the 10th manager of Spurs in 12 years finishing fifth in the league. He led the team to the final of League Cup, but they were beaten by Chelsea. He promoted the players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli to the first team.
