Maurice Edward Clarett is known across America as a former American football running back who used to play for the team named Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He was born in the year 1983, 29th October which makes him 32 years of age at present. He used to play professionally for the Omaha Nighthawks in the United Football League. When he was a freshman, in the year 2002, he helped the team led to the national championship. He is famous for challenging the NFL’s draft eligibility unsuccessfully which resulted him in several arrests and jail sentences After he got released, he started working as an entrepreneur and also as a public speaker and he has been addressing many football and basketball teams during his speech. He is 1.8 meters in height. His bio and some of his phenomenal stats since his very young age are as follows. 

His father’s name is Myke Clarett Sr. and his mother’s name is Renee Clarett; but they are divorced now. His father used to work at a Regional Representative for the Secretary of State in Ohio and his mother used to work as a senior administrator for the Youngstown City Clerk of Court. He also has two siblings, one is his older brother Marcus who used to be a defensive tackle for the University of Buffalo and another older brother Michael Graham Clarett Jr. His girlfriend’s name is Ashley Evans and the couple has a daughter who was born in the year 2006, 16th July.

After the public display of his abilities as a punishing freshman, he got transferred to Warren G. Harding high School to continue his career. After he got graduated, he was ranked as top 100 players in the nation by several national publications. He also was a U.S. Army All-American. He received an offer from the Ohio State University and he committed to the team verbally. He officially committed to the team of Buckeyes in the year 2002, in the month of February. Jim Tressel, who is the coach for Ohio, used to be the coach of Youngstown State Penguins which was Clarett’s hometown. He later received USA Today Offensive High School player of the year and Parade All-American distinctions.

In the year 2013, it was announced that he would make his rugby debut for the Columbus affiliate of the Tigre Rugby at the Ohio Rugby Sevens Invitational on 25th of May in the year 2013 in the city of Mechanicsburg in Ohio; later, it was reported that he would not  be playing for the team as the practicing did not match with his schedule.

In the year 2006, police announced that they were searching the relation of Clarett in some incidents of armed robbery. He was alleged of robbing two people and then escaped away from SUV with two unidentified person but it was reported that he made off the scene only with a phone which roughly amounted to $150. Jim Tressel, who used to be his coach, hopes that his involvement is not true. Clarett submitted himself to the police after 9 p.m. on 2nd January. Till date, he has faced counts of 2 robberies but he got released with a bond of $50,000. As he is a public speaker, he very often updates his blog.
