Margaret Brennan who is a General Assignment Correspondent for the CBS News is the native of Stamford, Connecticut, U.S. He is based in Washington, D.C. and covers the US State Department. She was born to Edward and Jane Brennan. While she was a child, Brennan was influenced in dancing and she began to dance when she was at the age of 5. Later, she had to end the dancing career duo to the injury she got. She attended Convent of Sacred Heart located in Greenwich, Connecticut and got graduated from there in the year 1998. She then went on to join University of Virginia located in Charlottesville and from there she graduated with a highest distinction in the year 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs and the Middle East Studies with minor in an Arabic language. She was also named as an Emmerich Wright Scholar for her outstanding thesis. She studied an Arabic abroad at the Yarmouk University on Fulbright-Gays Grant in Irbid, Jordan.

At the beginning of her career, she started working for the NCS’s Today Show as well as NBC Nightly News. There, she covered retail industry for the CNBC. She then joined the Bloomberg TV where she began to work as an anchor. During her tenure till now, she has interviewed many renowned celebrities such as Tony Blair, Christine Lagarde, George Soros, and many more. She then began her Business New career in the year 2002 as a producer for the financial news.

She is now currently serving as a general assignment correspondent at CBS. It was in the year 212 when Brennan joined the CBS News as state department correspondent. She is also substitute anchor on the CBS This Morning and CBS Evening News. She is one among the five reporters who interviewed Hillary Clinton about fatal attack on US mission in Benghazi, Libya. She has also travelled with then secretary of state for reporting on the foreign policy issues around world. She was also among the few US correspondents who reported from Tehran during 2012 non-alliged movement that marked largest international gathering in the Iran since founding of Islamic Republic.

Prior to that, Margaret is tem member at Council of Foreign Relations, whitehead fellow with Foreign Policy Association. Additionally, she has also served on alumni advisory board at University of Virginia School of politics. She is also the member of Economic Club of New York and also serves on Advisory board of Smurfit School of Business at University College Dublin. Apart from that, Margaret has earned numbers of honors and awards. She was named as one of Top Irish Americans as well as one of Top 100 Irish Americans in the business as well as in media by Irish America Magazine. She was also named as one of Top Journalists under age of 30 in the year 2003 by NewsBios/TJFR Group. In 2010, she received Fulbright Award for an International Understanding. In addition to that, she has also been named among the Hottest New Anchor in television in 2008 in Maxim.
