Marcel Hirscher is an Austrian World Cup Alpine Ski racer who made his World Cup debut in March of the year 2007. He is the native of Annaberg-Lungotz, Salzburg, Austria. He came into this world on 2nd March of the year 1989 which has now made him reach at the age of 26.

 He is a tall guy with the height of 5 feet and 8 inches that is 1.73 m.  At 2010 Winter Olympics, Marcel placed in fourth position in giant slalom and fifth in slalom at the Whistler Creekside. At 2009 World Championships, he placed fourth in giant slalom but he broke his ankle the weekend preceding 2011 World Championships which ended the 2011 season of him.

After returning from the injury, he had his best season till date in terms of wins in 2012 with the 9 victories as well as a total of 14 podiums, all in the two technical events. In October of the year 2012, he was awarded Skieur d’Or Award by the members of International Association of Ski Journalists for the performances during previous season. In addition to that, he also won overall World Cup title again in next year with 6 victories.

 He also became first male racer who retains overall World Cup title since the fellow Austrian Stephan Eberharter in the year 2002 and 2003 as well as the first to win it the three years in row since the American Phil Mahre did so in 1981, 1982 and 1983.

In the year 2014, Marcel became the first skier in more than thirty years who won the three consecutive World Cup Titles. He belongs to the elite of skiers along with the stars such as Bode Millers to win multiple of the World Cup Titles.
