Loni Love is an American comedian as well as an actress who has been active in this field since the year 2003. Prior to that, Loni was an electrical engineer. After completing her graduation from high school, Loni started to work on General Motors assembly line putting the doors on 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlasses for short period of time. It was the work that ignited her interest in the electrical engineer.
It was in 2004 when Loni started her comedic career by making her appearance on the Star Search searching finals and losing in the close competition to the winner. Since then, Loni has made her appearance in the movies as well as numbers of the TV shows. Such as Mother’s Day, Gutshot Straight, Soul Plane, With or Without You, American Dad!, Bethenny, The Real, Kickin’ It, The Gossip Queens, Thick and Thin, Chocolate News, GSN Live, Cuts, Weekends at the DL, Comic Unleashed, Girlfriends, Star Search, I Love the 70s and more.
Prior to that, Loni has also acted in the dramatic theatre plays. She was named as Hot Comic for 2009 in the Campus Activity Magazine as well as one of the Top 10 Comics to Watch in both the Variety and Comedy Central. In addition to that, she was also awarded Jury Prize for the best stand-up at 2003 US Comedy Arts Festival. She has also released her first comedy advice book titled as Love Him or Leave Him But Don’t Get Stuck with the Tab. A native of Detroit, Michigan, United States, Loni Love came into this world on 12th July of the year 1971 which has now made her at the age of 44. She was grown up in Brewster-Douglass Housing Projects. She got graduated from the high school in the year 1989. After that, she also went to get her education from the Prairie View A&M University located in Texas from where she received her Bachelor’s degree in the electrical engineering. While her tenure there, Loni minored in the music as well as she was also the member of the Eta Beta Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta. It was there when she discovered the stand-up comedy after she won the $50 competition as well as she then performed frequently during the college life.
Later, she found the work as engineer at the Xerox in California. After that, she continued doing the stand-up after her work in the clubs as well as she also became a regular at Laugh Factory. She worked at the Xerox for eight years and after that, she resigned from there for pursuing her career in comedy. In 2014, she has done the show on the VH1 called I love the 2000s that she gives her view on the 2000-2009’s pop culture highlights as well as she has also become a Roundtable panelist for the friend as well as fellow comic Chelsea Handler.
