An American soccer player Kyle Beckerman currently plays for the Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer as well as The United States national team. He is holding midfielder and he also serve as the team captain for Real Salt Lake. He is the native of Crofton, Maryland, United States.

He came into this world on 23rd April of the year 1982 which has now made him reach the age of 34. Although he is known by the name Kyle Beckerman, his full name is Kyle Robert Beckerman. He is the son of Paul Beckerman and wife Margaret Beckerman. His father is a science teacher whereas his mother is a 3rd-grade teacher. His family member also includes his elder brother named Todd.

Beckerman started his career by playing in various of the youth leagues in Bowie, Maryland area. He also played for the United States in 1999 U-17 World Cup held in New Zealand. Kyle went to get his education from the DeMatha Catholic High School located in Hyattsville, Maryland as a freshman. There, he won the state wrestling title.

Later, he was transferred to Arundel High School from where he graduated and then signed a Nike Project-40 contract with the MLS on 27th June of 2000. He had also been involved with the league for previous few years having been one of the inaugural students at United States Soccer Federation’s Bradenton Academy which also featured DaMarcus Beasley, Landon Donovan, Bobby Convey and Oguchi Onweyu.

A couple of days after he signed with the league, Miami Fusion claimed Beckerman. He hardly played in first two years. He registered only 110 minutes during his first year and only 14 minutes in second after breaking his leg playing in A-league. In 2000, he went on loan with the MLS Project.

After Fusion were contracted at the end of 2001, Kyle was then selected 11th overall in 2002 MLS Dispersal Draft by Colorado Rapids. During his first year with the Rapids, he again saw limited time playing 477 minutes and registering one assist.

It was on 16th July of 2007 when he was traded to Real Salt Lake for Mehdi Ballouchy. Despite joining the team in mid-season, he quickly established himself as the team leader for RSL. Early in 2008 season, he took over the armband of the captain.

Throughout the 2009 season, he continued as the captain of the RSL. He broke the record for All-Time MLS regular season appearances by the field player at 379 on 17th October 2015. Apart from that, he had also represented the United States at multiple levels of competition. Beckerman made his first international appearance as the member of U-16 National Team in 1997.

A talented and good looking soccer player Beckerman stands at the height of five feet and ten inches, that is, 1.78 m. He has already got married. He is married to his wife named Kate Pappas who is a Greek American account supervisor at the Love Communications.
